SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES OF FAMILY AND YOUTH HEALTH INITIATIVE
The initiative places emphasis on:
SDG 3 (ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages)
SDG 6 (ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all)
Behavioural change communication and capacity building of our target populations on health outcomes of economic importance [such as NCDs, NTDs, Malaria, Vesicovaginal fistula (VVF), Tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDs]
Effectively engaging youths through proposed health promotion talks in communities and institutions of learning (primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions)
Penetrating hard-to-reach areas to deliver the above stated objectives
In summary, we seek to “set up an exemplary model NGO that covers an entire state extensively taking on-board different age groups with the view of improving the health indices of families and youths in Nigeria”.
Through collective actions and partnerships, we at FAYOHI are determined to become one of the leading indigenous non-governmental organisation in the area of family and youth health operating in Nigeria.
Our drive is to empower the target population we work with through information, and effective interventions and we are committed in doing so. This is why we stated that "by the year 2022, we would empower a significant number of Nigerians to lead healthier lives irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity and place of residence (rural or urban) through our work".
