Mr Mohammed Bashir – Is the MD/CEO of Tradesys Nigeria Limited and Synergy Granite Limited. He holds a BSc (Hons) Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano and an MBA from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is also a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria. Prior to his voluntary retirement, he has worked with Federal Ministry of Information and Police Service Commission of Nigeria.

Mr Mohammed has been a major inspiration for his community as he single-handedly built the first health center which was later transferred to Jigawa State Government for management under the State’s Ministry of Health. He has also supported many youths in acquiring knowledge through scholarships; he continues to sponsor a local school for married women which have recorded a huge success in women-empowerment. He is the Chairman board of trustees of Riverside- an educational NGO established with the aim of empowering youths and sponsoring qualified but financially-deprived candidates to pursue diplomas and degrees in various disciplines. Mr Bashir is happy to also serve as the Chairman board of trustees of FAYOHI




Dr. Hamed Adetunji – Is the Course Coordinator for Public Health, Oxford Brookes University. He is an experienced Public Health and infectious diseases epidemiologist, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health, UK. Dr Adetunji, an accomplished public health educator is also an Associate Professor at Qassim University Saudi Arabia where he joined a team of experts to establish a College of Public Health and Health Informatics as one of his recent International engagements.


His current research areas include: Occupational health risks from exposure to nano-particulates in photocopier machines and Enquiry into students’ health behaviours and wellbeing (multi-centre cross-sectional studies). He has just finished writing 5 book chapters, 3 for SAGE in the key concepts in Public Health and 2 for Palgrave in Research for Health & Social Care. Dr Adetunji has advised the boards of many NGOs on carrying out high impact projects/programmes and is happy to bring his expertise to the board of FAYOHI.



Mr Abdulrazaq Tayibu – Is the MD/CEO of Tradefrexx Int’l BDC Ltd and El-Tayib Nigeria Ltd. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from Kaduna Polytechnic and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Mr Abdulrazaq is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He has a passion for humanitarian activities. Mr Abdulrazaq has been supporting many youths to pursue education through scholarships and continues to donate resources (both monetary and otherwise) to local NGOs that carry out projects/programmes that affect rural communities positively. His desire to do more for humanity inspired him to serve on the board of trustees of FAYOHI.



Prof. Saverio Stranges - Is a medical doctor, public health specialist, and chronic disease epidemiologist, with extensive experience in the field of epidemiology and public health research.


Dr. Stranges is presently the Chair Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University, Ontario, Canada. He was also Scientific Director at Luxembourg Institute of Health, Luxembourg. He held the position of Director of Clinical Academic Training in Public Health and Consultant Physician in Public Health Medicine University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, UK.

Throughout his career, Dr Stranges has been involved in several international epidemiological projects, clinical trials, secondary data analyses and systematic review work, and has published extensively in the area of chronic disease epidemiology, with over 120 publications as scientific articles, reviews and book chapters.

His published work derives from several population-based studies and clinical trials around the world including: the Nutritional Prevention of Cancer Trial (NPC), Western New York Health Study, National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in the US; UK-PRECISE trial, Whitehall II Study, National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS), Health Survey for England (HSE) in the UK; EPIC Study and Olivetti Heart Study in Italy; WHO-INDEPTH Network in Africa and Asia.

Dr Stranges has developed a substantial experience in the evaluation of observational and clinical trial data and statistical analysis of large datasets.

Prof. Stranges is happy to serve as a Consultant to the board of FAYOHI given his expertise in Public Health and Cardiovascular Epidemiology.



Mr Umar Abubakar SadiqIs the MD/CEO of Umsalem BDC and Umsalem Energy Limited – all subsidiaries of Umsalem Nigeria Limited. He holds a BSc (Hons) Sociology and Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Bayero University, Kano. He has championed and supported many projects that have impacted on the lives of people in rural areas of northern Nigeria- such as supporting youths to get quality education and providing hospital beds for community hospitals. His urge to support high impact projects led him to join the board of trustees of FAYOHI as a member



Mrs Chinelo Ijeoma Dan Nzelu - Is the Managing Director of Hezron Group Limited. She has also worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria and resigned as Principal Economist. Mrs. Nzelu then moved to Nigerian Insurance Deposit Corporation (NDIC) where she rose through the ranks to become a Director. During her time at NDIC, Mrs Nzelu was seconded to the defunct National Bank of Nieria Ltd. as Executive Director.


Mrs Nzelu holds a BSc Economics from University of Ibadan, MSc Economics from University of Lagos, and Post-graduate Diploma in Theology from Redeemers University of Nigeria. 


Mrs Nzelu also heads Eng. Dan Mmadu Nzelu Educational Foundation- a foundation that has been offering tuition fees to under-priviledged students since 2010. Presently, some beneficiaries of the foundation have graduated and are now working in banking and other industries in Nigeria. She also offers donations to motherless babies homes and widows. 

Mrs Nzelu is happy to bring her experience to the board of FAYOHI.



Prof. Ngianga-Bakwin Kandala - Is a Professor of Biostatistics at Nothumbria University, Newcastle, UK. He was the Head of Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis Unit, Luxembourg Institute of Health. Dr. Kandala was also a Principal Research Fellow in Health Technology Assessment with a joint appointment between the University of Oxford (KEMRI-Oxford Wellcome Trust Collaborative Programme) and the University of Warwick..


He also holds an honorary Associate Professor position at the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is responsible for capacity building in Tropical diseases mapping and conducting high research in Tropical diseases mapping in Africa for KEMRI-Oxford Wellcome Trust Collaborative Programme.


Originally from DR Congo, Dr. Kandala has worked at King's College London, University of Southampton, University of Montreal, Canada, University of Munich (LMU), Germany, and the University of Lagos, Nigeria. FAYOHI will benefit from the wealth of knowledge of Dr. Kandala particularly in the areas of Health Systems Strentghening.



Mr Kajogbola Suleiman - Is the Group MD/CEO of Quest Group- which owns and run a group of companies that specialize in Financial Services, Real Estate, Construction, and Supply Chain & Logistics. Prior to his retirement, Mr Kajogbola was a renowned banker who served as the Group Head South-South 2 of Sterling Bank Plc and also served in a Managerial positions at Equatorial Trust Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, and Pacific Bank Limited.


He has also served in various positions in Access Bank Nigeria Plc. Mr Kajogbola holds a BSc (Hons) Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an MBA-Marketing from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho. His love for the support of the less-privileged and those down the wealth spectrum of societies inspired him to join the board of trustees of FAYOHI


Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim Demba – Is the MD/CEO of Macroshehu Ventures Limited. He has received awards from several bodies such as Universal Peace Federation for his philanthropic services in Nigeria. He has a strong desire in supporting FAYOHI to achieve their mission and vision hence serving as a member of the board of trustees.




Dr Fatima S. Koki – Is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics Bayero University, Kano. She holds a BSc, MSc and PhD in Physics from Bayero University. Dr Fatima has been involved in several humanitarian services particularly towards women and youth development and she is happy to bring her wealth of knowledge and serve on the board of trustees of FAYOHI.




Dr. Olalekan Uthman - Is an Assistant Professor of Research Synthesis at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick.Ola's research interests focus on evidence-based medicine and social determinants of population health.


He has a strong interest in large-scale evidence (in particular randomized trials and meta-analyses) and analyses of large survey data sets. Ola has worked across a wide range of health technology assessments with a focus on HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. He is an experienced Cochrane author and Cochrane Infectious Disease Group Editor. His research area aims to conduct high quality systematic reviews, and to investigate aspects of clinical trial and systematic review methodology. Ola is a member of the Adherence Trialists Collaboration. He is proficient in mathematical modelling of infectious disease and focuses on the use of mathematical models to understand the epidemiology and control of infections of humans. He has published several papers on multilevel and geographical analyses to examine the role of geographic, community and societal contexts in explaining variations in health.


Dr. Ola is happy to bring his expertise and local knowledge of Nigeria to FAYOHI.



Mr Shehu Muhammad Madaki Is a Director at Earth Logistics Limited; Director Finance and Administration at Albarka Air Plc. He was the Head of Department- Business Education at Jigawa State College of Education; Senior Supervisor Examination Department at Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria; Senior Accountant- Federal Capital Development Authority, Abuja; Finance Officer at Kano State Investments and Properties; Accountant 1- Kano state Polytechnic Central Administration.


He Holds a BSc Accounting and MBA from Bayero University, Kano. He also holds the following professional qualifications: Associate member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants; Associate member National Accountants of Nigeria; Member Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); Member Treasury Management & Financial Accountants; and Member Institute of Management Consultants.


Mr Shehu has inspired and mentored youths in becoming good ambassadors- many of which have excelled in their various organisations. The board of trustees of FAYOHI will benefit from his abundant wealth of experience and knowledge.
